IsDown offers an easy way to monitor Firebase with maximum flexibility
IsDown monitors Crashlytics for major outages. A major outage is when Crashlytics experiences a critical issue that severely affects one or more services/regions. When Firebase marks an incident as a major outage, IsDown updates its internal status, the customer status page and dashboard. Depending on the customer settings, IsDown will also send notifications.
IsDown monitors Firebase status page for minor outages. A minor outage is when Crashlytics experiences a small issue affecting a small percentage of its customer's applications. An example is the performance degradation of an application. When a minor outage occurs, IsDown updates its internal status and shares that information on the customer status page. Depending on the customer settings, IsDown will also send notifications.
IsDown collects all information from the outages published in Firebase status page to provide the most accurate information. If available, we gather the title, description, time of the outage, status, and outage updates. Another important piece of information is the affected services/regions which we use to filter the notifications that impact your business.
IsDown monitors Firebase and all their 16 components that can be affected by an outage. IsDown allows you to filter the notifications and status page alerts based on the components you care about. Firebase Crashlytics last outage was on November 02, 2023 with the title "We have identified the problem and are working to resolve the issue. Data for the Crashlytics dashboard is now being received and processed normally. Events reported on 30 Oct between 07:00 to 12:00 GMT will not be available on the Crashlytics dashboard or daily BigQuery tables, resulting in approximately 20% fewer crashes being reported that day. Unfortunately, we are not able to recover this data. Daily BigQuery table data between 30 Oct and today is delayed. We are in the process of writing this data and it should be available in the coming days. Streaming BigQuery table data was not impacted by this incident and contains the full data set, including all crashes from 30 Oct."
